To be responsible for providing financial leadership, advice and support to the company.
Taking a lead role in developing, implementing, analysing, maintaining and presenting strategic business and financial plans.
As a key member of the Senior Management Team, challenging and driving business performance.
Driving innovation in the finance function to improve analysis and the provision of business information
Leading the HR and IT functions in the Company and the Group.
The GFC will report directly to CEO and will be a key member of the Senior Management Team.
The finance functions of Group Companies, whilst reporting into the manager of thosecompanies, will have a secondary reporting line into the GFC.
Financial Leadership
To provide accurate, timely and relevant financial information and plans which assist the Senior
Management of the Company to produce and meet strategic goals
To ensure that the finance function has efficient systems and procedures which satisfy the requirements of the Company and external bodies such as the Tax Dept and the Company’s auditors.
To ensure that all Group Companies have a secure, trusted and professional financial function
To constantly evaluate the performance of the Company, and Group, and take a lead role in driving change and improvement.
To ensure that all areas of the business are aware of , and aligned to , the Company’s cash and profit targets and requirements
To play a lead role in Company acquisitions and set up of additional Company divisions
Finance Department Responsibilities
Ensure there are procedures in place to deliver a high standard of the following reporting requirements:
o Annual budgets o Profit and cash forecasting o Product margin analysis and reporting o Monthly management accounts reporting o Capital expenditure control o Annual Statutory accounts and Group consolidated accounts o Daily, weekly and monthly KPI data o Ensure that all departmental processing is accurate and timely
Management responsibilities
Responsibility for management of the Finance, HR and IT departments
Ensure that objectives are set for each department and that regular reviews of progress are carried out to ensure that all objectives are completed successfully.
Ensuring that these departments are staffed to the correct level of skill and professionalism
To ensure that the HR and IT departments deliver their functional responsibilities to a high standard
Staff Development
To develop a continuous stream of talent to ensure succession planning throughout the department
The lead and mentor skills development of all departmental staff to address the current, and future needs of the business
To identify and develop high potential staff
Senior Management responsibilities
To contribute to the overall Company performance and strategic direction as a key member of the Senior Management Team
To provide direction, advice and guidance for the Senior Management Team
Group co-ordination
To work closely with Group Divisional Managers to assure that financial controls of Group Companies are in place and to the correct standard
To ensure that Group financial staff are of the correct calibre to deliver the required standard of reporting and control
Other areas of responsibility
The Company insurances portfolio and cover Payroll and pensions
Legal matters including contracts and litigation Tax matters
Company car fleet management and Treasury management
Job Requirements
Min Qualification : B.Accounting/ ACCA / CIMA/ CPA and MIA member.
Min 5 years working experience with manufacturing exposure.
